Parents Without Co-Parents Support Group
Parents Without Co-Parents is a non-profit, all volunteer support group created for parents dealing with issues surrounding non-existent co-parenting, high conflict co-parenting, toxic co-parents, parental alienation of minor and adult children, parental manipulation and poisoning.
WHAT IS "PARENTAL ALIENATION"? - Parental alienation is a traumatic and common family crisis; Alienators create an adversarial dynamic between their own children, the target parent, and extended family (including step parents and step siblings.) Brainwashing and manipulation by an alienator results in the children abruptly ending communication with the target parent with no explanation. In reality, the child has been cooerced into believing it was their own decision by the toxic parent.
Parental alienation is one of the highest forms of neglect. This group was formulated to help others who have endured this traumatic situation so we may help and heal each other; THANK YOU to all current members for growing this group, even during a pandemic! We've been going 4 years strong, and continue to help each other heal. We offer our members a safe space to cope with the many layers of this complicated, painful and abusive situation.
Whether it's a supportive word, an ear to listen, or a therapeutic group-atmosphere to vent, we are here for you! All content displayed in our social media is to provide support and education, but does not take the place of mental health therapy or legal advice. Council by licensed professionals is recommended in fields regarding legal decisions or actions by the participant. We will, however try to provide you with resources to access these professionals through monthly seminars, group meetings, etc.
With compassion and advice from the professionals, we can make a difference! Let's heal together and re-establish loving communication and justice for all of our children! We invite ally-ship and bridge builiding, not exclusion!
STATISTICAL INFORMATION: "Adult children of parental Alienation: Breaking the Ties that Bind", by Amy J. L. Baker - 2007 - A study of 40 adults who were alienated as children (ages at the time of interview range 19-63) showed that 34 out of 40 of the alienators were mothers.
